FAQs

What do I need to know to (easily) make a successful webpage in weebly?

(1) familiarity with using google docs
(2) using moodle or other LMS

Why google docs instead of office?

I like google docs because it saves time, if/ when I make changes in google docs it is updated on the page as the same time (I don't have to remember to upload it again when I make changes.)

What should I consider when creating a web page:

1) What should you include in your url?

    (suggestions)
  • your name (mrsbabb or jamartin)
  • kv or kvhs will help specify your class
  • your subject (facs, business, science) it may be better to be vague if you teach a wide range of classes

2) Your layout (and color scheme)
     (completely your choice)

3) What do you want to link to?
  • school sites
  • (frequently used) tools
  •  assignment, quizzes, tests

4) How do you want to make the link (it to your page) ?
  • symbaloo
  • buttons
  • basic link
  • new tab
Other tips (look at my other pages to see these tips in use)
  1. If building for classroom use, think about having a different standard page for every unit (or chapter, or subject)
  2. Decide on your standard page layout - then make duplicate pages before you start adding your specific material  per unit
  3. Use weebly's feature of hiding pages you are not ready to show, or you simply don't want your students to see yet.
